Individualised Living Options & Flexible Living Arrangements

Lifest Healthcare | NDIS Provider in Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast

Lifest HealthCare is dedicated to empowering participants with disabilities across the Greater Brisbane, Caboolture, and Ipswich Regions to live independently and make choices that align with their personal goals. Our team offers assistance with daily living tasks, skill development, and community access, ensuring participants can live their lives with the support they need.

NDIS Funded ILO

Individualised living options (ILO) is an NDIS-funded service designed to promote independent living for people with an illness or disability. Unlike supported independent living (SIL), NDIS participants with ILO funding have greater control over their living arrangements and are able to choose where they live, who they live with, and the type of support they receive. However, ILO does not include funding for the accommodation itself, or modifications to the property.

For participants who receive NDIS funding support for ILO, Lifest offers tailored ILO services, ensuring that all individuals receive the appropriate level of care to thrive in their living environment.

Lifest HealthCare Flexible Living Arrangements

Flexible living arrangements (FLA) is a program developed by Lifest specifically for NDIS participants whose funding does not include ILO or Supported Independent Living (SIL) but who still require access to those services. Through Lifest HealthCare’s FLA program, participants who receive NDIS funding for in-home and community support are able to access suitable housing where they are responsible for rent, bills, and other living costs, with additional support from a dedicated care team.

Through FLA, Lifest works with participants to create personalised care plans, collaborating with the participant and their care team to define the necessary level of support, required hours, and the most suitable living arrangements.

Who Can Benefit from FLA?

Our FLA program was created to support NDIS participants who require ILO services but whose funding does not currently support ILO. This can include, but is not limited to, participants with the following health conditions:

  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Psychosocial disabilities
  • High-complex care needs

We frequently assist individuals transitioning from community care units (CCU) or similar hospital-based environments who require a structured yet independent living arrangement. While FLA is not typically suited for those with purely physical disabilities, it is ideal for those who need a supportive living environment to manage complex mental health or developmental conditions.

Accommodation Options

Lifest HealthCare partners with specialised housing providers to assist NDIS participants in securing appropriate living arrangements. We help individuals find rental properties or shared housing with others who have similar care needs. These checks include verifying hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring medication management systems are in place, and confirming that participants are accessing mainstream health services.
