What is the NDIS?
NDIS refers to the National Disability Insurance Scheme, an Australian Government-funded scheme allowing people with disabilities to receive affordable services and support for their specific needs. If you meet the NDIS eligibility criteria, you will be provided with certain support services designed specifically for your disability requirements. This includes people with physical, mental, cognitive, sensory, neurological, or psychological disorders.
With NDIS, you can access:
- Community Services and Supports
- Mainstream Services and Supports
- Informal Support Arrangements
- Reasonable and Necessary Funded Support
Â
NDIS support services are only available for people between the ages of 7 and 65 who are an Australian citizen, a permanent Australian resident, or who hold a protected special category visa. If you’re having trouble determining whether you or your loved one are eligible for NDIS support services, contact Lifest HealthCare and a member of our team can help you.
